Carla Abellana says GMA contract renewal comes after 'a very scary year'
Carla Abellana is feeling all sorts of thankful after her contract renewal with GMA Network.
The actress posted an Instagram Reel of her signing and said in her caption that she had to trust the process following a difficult year.
“2023 was a very scary year for me. I thought I was no longer wanted,” Carla said.
“But I held my head up high and prayed hard persistently,” she added.
On the day itself, Carla said that she experienced how God’s will prevailed and that the long wait was worth it.
“More importantly, He brought the right individuals (and loved ones!) together for me, to show me that I am and will always be in good hands,” she added.
“Lord, THANK YOU. I know you always have my back. To my home network for the past 15 years, THANK YOU for your continued trust, love and belief,” she added. “SOLID and still a proud KAPUSO."
Carla is currently starring in the GMA Afternoon Prime series "Stolen Life," alongside Beauty Gonzalez and Gabby Concepcion.
She is set to star in “Widow’s War” with Bea Alonzo. It is a spin-off of the GMA murder mystery series “Royal Blood” and “Widow’s Web.” The series will be directed by the renowned Zig Dulay, the same man behind “Maria Clara at Ibarra” and “Firefly.”
