Sarah Lahbati on being called the 'Patron Saint of Waldas': 'I think it’s funny'
We stan an unbothered queen!
Sarah Lahbati has been the subject of new monikers lately following the rumored split with her husband, Richard Gutierrez. These include “2024 Year of the Waldas Dragon" and “Patron Saint of Waldas.”
In an interview with Pep at a spa opening, Sarah reacted to being called the latter by netizens.
"I think it's funny. Yeah, it's just something I laugh about,” she said.
Sarah added that she doesn’t read online comments, but learned about the title through her friends who started talking about it. She also said that she has been seeing that name everywhere.
"I don't take anything seriously," she said. "That's another secret to be happy.”
"If not, I will be going crazy. It's just a funny, funny thing that's been going around," she added.
Before ending her interview, Sarah told netizens, "To everyone who wants to waldas, go ahead."
The “waldas” comments come after Sarah’s mother-in-law Annabelle Rama accused her in an interview of splurging on shopping instead of working.
Sarah has previously poked fun at this, writing on TikTok, "Who wants to go shopping with me?"
On a more serious note, Sarah said that there is nothing wrong with spending one’s hard-earned money.
Sarah and Richard got married in 2020. They have two kids, Zion and Kai.
The couple has been the subject of separation rumors since late 2023 when the public noticed that Sarah was absent at Annabelle’s birthday celebration.
While they have yet to comment on the rumors, they have unfollowed each other on Instagram. Sarah also said that she and Richard “are okay” and she's holding up well. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
