Bea Alonzo, Carla Abellana excited to work on ‘Widow’s War’

Bea Alonzo and Carla Abellana cannot help but feel ecstatic at their upcoming series “Widow’s War.”

The Kapuso superstars both shared Instagram posts from the series’ story conference early this week.

Bea shared her happiness in the caption of her Instagram Reel.

“I’m excited to explore a different genre on TV,” she said.

Tagging Carla and "Firefly" director Zig Dulay, Bea added, “And I’m happy that I’ll finally be able to work Carla and Zig! Watch out for it this 2024 only on GMA.”

Meanwhile, Carla still couldn't believe a project with Bea is happening. "Pinch me. Is this for real?” She asked on Instagram.

Aside from Bea and Carla, the star-studded cast of “Widow’s War” includes Gabbi Garcia, Tonton Gutierrez, Mark Herras, Jeric Gonzales, Juancho Triviño, Jackie Lou Blanco, Lito Pimentel, Rita Daniela, Timmy Cruz, Lovely Rivero, James Graham, Charlie Fleming, Matthew Uy, Jean Garcia, and Benjamin Alves.

“Widow’s War” is a spin-off of the GMA murder mystery series “Royal Blood” and “Widow’s Web.” The series will be directed by the renowned Zig Dulay, the same man behind “Maria Clara at Ibarra” and MMFF 2023 Best Picture Winner “Firefly.”

Carla is currently starring in the GMA Afternoon Prime series "Stolen Life," whereas Bea recently starred in the GMA Network-Viu Philippines collaboration "Love Before Sunrise."
