Gladys Reyes pays tribute to Ronaldo Valdez: 'I still can't believe he's really gone'

Gladys Reyes pays tribute to Ronaldo Valdez

Gladys Reyes took to Instagram to honor her late co-star Ronaldo Valdez.

The actress posted a clip from the GMA Network comedy sitcom “Bahay Mo Ba ‘To.” It aired from 2004 to 2007, with Ronaldo playing the lead role of Unyo and Gladys as his daughter Kelly.

The scene shows Unyo forgetting that Kelly is his child, and mistakes her for a house burglar.

Gladys said it took a while for her to post, “maybe because I still can't believe he's really gone.”

She also described the late actor as “brilliant.”

“His versatility, wit, kindness and charm will always be remembered,” Gladys said.

“Thank you tito Ron," she added.

The Quezon City Police Department announced that Ronaldo passed away on December 17. He was 76.

His son, Janno Gibbs, confirmed his passing in a statement and requested privacy for their family.

Janno urged the police personnel involved in the leak of a video showing his father’s body to issue a public apology and also called out certain vloggers who made misleading posts about Ronaldo’s passing.

The singer and actor also responded to critics of his family’s Japan trip, saying that it was scheduled and that they needed an escape from home.

The Gibbs family plans to scatter some of Ronaldo’s ashes in Baguio City, his favorite place.
