Jeric Raval, Joko Diaz among cast members of upcoming Korean film 'The Guardian'
Jeric Raval and Joko Diaz will be part of an upcoming Korean film titled "The Guardian."
According to a PEP.ph report, the film stars Park Eun Hye, Han Jae Seok, and Infinite boy band main vocalist Nam Woo Hyun.
Some scenes will be shot in Metro Manila. The film will have a global release and will be entered in international film festivals.
"I am not so familiar about the role, but words came to me that I'm one of the villains. Tinanggap ko 'yung project para maiba naman," Jeric said about the project.
"Happy kami na dumadalas at nabubuhay nang paunti-unti ang action films, kasi dun naman kami ni Joko nakilala, 'yung mga ganoong tema ng pelikula," he added.
Joko, meanwhile, said he accepted the project for the unique experience it offers.
"Tinanggap ko ito para masubukan ko naman po ang makapag-shoot ng isang Korean film, makasama sila at malaman kung ano 'yung pakiramdam," he said.
The veteran actor said he is happy to mentor younger stars in the action genre.
"'Yung action dati, panahon namin 'yun. 'Yung action ngayon, panahon na ng mga bata, so nandito ako para sumuporta sa mga bagong nag-a-action. Turuan sila o mabigyan ng tips," he said.
"For me, it's their time. Siguro kami parati lang kaming naggagabay sa kanila and we are happy na nandiyan yung mga tao na nangangailangan sa amin para matulungan din sila."
Jeric recently starred in "Maging Sino Ka Man," the series adaptation of the '90s film of the same name starring Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla. The series, which had action scenes aplenty, starred Barbie Forteza and David Licauco.
Joko, for his part, recently starred in 2023 horror film "Mary Cherry Chua." He also appeared in several Kapuso series, including "Mulawin vs. Ravena," "Alyas Robinhood," and "Destiny Rose."
