Michael V. mourns death of long-time hairstylist, makeup artist

Michael V. is mourning the death of his long-time hairstylist and makeup artist, Mario "Maria" Bernardino.

On Instagram, Wednesday, the Kapuso Comedy Genius posted a tribute to his dear friend, sharing several of the character looks he created through the years.

In his message, Bitoy called Maria a "wonderful human being."

"Matagal na kaming magka-tandem ni Maria; more than 25 years na. When I look my best and when I look like someone else, Maria has always been behind those looks," he said.

"Nakakalungkot when I found out that he passed away today. I will miss you my dear friend. Marami kaming nagmamahal at malulungkot sa industriya ngayong wala ka na."

In the comments, several celebrities expressed their grief and condolences, including Bitoy's fellow "Bubble Gang" stars such as Kokoy De Santos, EA Guzman, and Diana Zubiri.

"Nakakalungkot. Nakikiramay pare. Mahal na mahal natin si Maria. Rest in peace my dear Maria," Ogie Alcasid said.
