Ara Mina looks back on past conflict with sister Cristine Reyes: 'I want to teach her a lesson'
Ara Mina reflected on her past conflict with her younger sister and fellow actress Cristine Reyes.
On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the King of Talk asked Ara about the time when she filed a case against Cristine over a decade ago.
The veteran actress filed a libel and grave coercion complaint against her sister back in 2012, but she later dropped the charges.
"I think ginawa ko lang, Tito Boy, tough love. Because I'm the ate, I want to teach her a lesson na hindi tama 'yun, hindi dapat tayo nag-aaway," Ara said.
"If we have something na kailangan pag-usapan dapat hindi na nalabas sa media, dapat inside na lang, kasi at the end of the day magkapatid pa rin kami," she added.
Ara said she did not mean to proceed with the case, as "blood is thicker than water."
"Of course, hindi ko naman gugustuhin na makulong 'yung kapatid ko or something. It's just, ano lang 'yun, to teach her a lesson lang pero hindi ko itutuloy 'yun."
Their feud ended with Cristine apologized to Ara.
"Lumapit po siya sa akin, nag-sorry po siya nun," she said. "End of story."
Ara said she and Cristine are now on good terms. She is happy for her sister, who is currently in a relationship with actor Marco Gumabao.
Ara Mina has joined the cast of GMA primetime series "Lovers/Liars," which airs Mondays to Thursdays at 10:05 p.m.
