Alessandra de Rossi congratulates Direk Zig Dulay on the success of 'Firefly'
Alessandra De Rossi, the lead actress of “Firefly,” took to Instagram to congratulate its director Zig Dulay.
On Thursday, Alessandra shared a candid photo of herself and Zig from one of the movie’s special screenings.
“Congratulations Zig Carlo sa best picture! Deserve na deserve mo ang best dahil dabest ka,” the award-winning actress said.
“At ito naman para sa akin ang best picture. Maganda ang ngiti ko. Ngiting may best picture,” she added.
Ending her post, Alessandra thanked everyone who supported their movie.
“Firefly" was hailed as the Best Picture during the 2023 MMFF Gabi ng Parangal.
Directed by Zig Dulay, the film follows a young boy who is in a quest to find the magical island of fireflies from his mother's stories.
It also stars Euwenn Mikaell, Dingdong Dantes, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Epy Quizon, and Yayo Aguila, among others.
Mikaell also won the Best Child Performer award and Angeli Atienza won for Best Screenplay.
