Herlene Budol on the word 'kain': 'Sumakay lang ako sa mga joke dahil komedyante ako'

Herlene Budol took to X (formerly Twitter) anew to clear her name as she continues to get dragged in an ongoing controversy.

She didn't name names but the "Magandang Dilag" actress referenced the word "kain," which is among the words uttered and used, showed in the screengrabs of her alleged text conversation with actor Rob Gomez.

"Yung batuhan ng mga script para pang kabisado sa mga linyahan ay nahaluan ng mga joke at one liner tulad ng salitang 'kain' ganyan na agad ang tingin nyo sa akin," Herlene wrote.

"Sumakay lang ako sa mga joke dahil komedyante ako, kahit alam ko finiflirt ako," she added.

Herlene stood up for herself, saying she isn't that kind of woman. "FYI naka-dalawang national pageant na ako, marami nag-propose ng indecent proposal sa akin ng malaking halaga. Pero [inisip] ko nasa maayos naman karera ko at gusto ko pinag hihirapan, [hindi yung one time big time," she said.

According to Herlene, she is currently at work but could not concentrate because of the issue. "Tapos malalaman ko nakaladkad na lang pangalan ko at bina-bash ako na wala naman akong ginagawa," she said.

"Opo, Squammy man ako sa paningin nyo, [hindi] ako hayok sa laman. Produkto ako ng broken family. Pinalaki ako ng lolo at lola ko nang maayos," she wrote.

The beauty queen ended her tweet with a threat: "Kung sino man nag labas na screenshot na yan ay pwede kong kasuhan ng data privacy, defamation, at cyber libel."

Earlier in the week, Rob Gomez's social media accounts posted screengrabs alluding to sexual relations with various women including Herlene and Bianca Manalo.

According to the actor, he was not in possession of his phone when the screengrabs appeared in his accounts. They have since been deleted.

Herlene earlier defended herself from the accusations saying "'Pag dedicated ka sa trabaho, gagawan ka ng issue!'"

Meanwhile, Bianca took to Instagram Friday morning and said "Rob Gomez and I are friends and co-workers. He was going to bring Christmas gifts and I wanted to receive them early before I leave for the airport.”

Rob's love life has caused a stir in showbiz circles after he said he was single. A few weeks later, he apologized for his statement and then introduced his family. Earlier in the month, he shared photos with his partner, the beauty queen Shaila Rebortera, and said they were "loving louder."
