Bianca Umali honors Felipe Gozon: 'You serve as a great example for all of us'
Bianca Umali penned a heartwarming tribute for Felipe L. Gozon, GMA Network chairman and CEO, for his 84th birthday.
On Instagram, the Sparkle actress posted photos taken with her boyfriend, Ruru Madrid, during the grand birthday celebration of FLG held earlier this month. She also posted an image with the birthday celebrant in the middle of her photo carousel.
Bianca began her lengthy caption with the hashtag #HappyBirthdayFLG.
"It's truly an honor for us to witness your dedication and love for what you do," she said.
"You serve as a great example for all of us in leadership and collaboration with those under your guidance," she added.
The actress, who will soon star in an "Encantadia" spinoff series "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre," reassured FLG that she and Ruru "will carry forward all the lessons" they have learned from him.
"Thank you for the inspiring programs that have brought us joy and motivation," she said.
"We'll continue to use this platform (GMA) to spread inspiration and honor not only in our country but across the world," she added.
Bianca ended her post by greeting FLG with a happy birthday.
"Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement!"
Gozon announced that he is stepping down as CEO of GMA Network starting on January 1, 2024. GMA president and chief operating officer Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr. will assume the CEO role.
Gozon will continue to serve as board chairman and the corporation's adviser.
Bianca is set to portray Terra in the "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre." In October, Bianca revealed that Terra is Danaya's daughter and that she will be the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa.
After the introduction of Bianca, the three other Sang'gres were also revealed: Faith Da Silva as Flamarra, keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy; Kelvin Miranda as Adamus, keeper of the Brilyante ng Tubig; and Angel Guardian as Deia, keeper of the Brilyante ng Hangin.
The exciting and magical teaser of "Sang'gre" was unveiled during the 2023 ManiPopCon.
