Dingdong Dantes says filming 'Rewind' with Marian Rivera was like going on dates every day

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes just made their “It’s Showtime” debut!

The Kapuso powerhouse couple appeared on Saturday’s episode. After greeting the audience with a “What’s up, Madlang People!”, they talked about their upcoming film “Rewind.”

Dingdong was asked by host Jhong Hilario what he is most grateful for in 2023. The Kapuso Primetime King said, “Ako, grateful ako sa taong ito na nabigyan ako ng pagkakataon na makatrabaho ang asawa ko.”

He added, “Kasi sobrang busy po niya, tapos nung binigyan kami ng chance to work together, parang 'di siya trabaho. Para kaming nag-de-date araw-araw kaya pinagpapasalamat ko talaga 'yun.”

Vice Ganda then asked Marian if there were any differences in how they treat each other at work versus at home.

Marian answered, “Palagi kong sinasabi, parang wala. Kasi kung ano kami sa bahay, ganun din kami sa trabaho namin."

“So palaging ni-lo-look forward lang namin na magkasama kami together kasi sa bahay may mga kids eh,” she added. “So nahahati. Konti [kay Dingdong], marami sa kids."

DongYan also agreed that the hardest scenes to film were the intimate ones, instead of the heavy and dramatic ones.

“Ang weird kasi malalaman niyo kung pano kami sa personal, sa totoong buhay,” Marian said.

Rewind” marks DongYan's return to the big screen since "You to Me Are Everything," which was released in 2010.

The film’s trailer showed them playing a couple whose marriage is on the rocks.

“Rewind” premieres on December 25 as part of the Metro Manila Film Festival.

Marian is also set to make a TV comeback. She will be starring in the series “Against All Odds.” —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
