Kelvin Miranda explains why he quickly denied the ‘booking’ allegations from a blind item
Kelvin Miranda once again made it clear: The allegations involving him in a “booking” rumor are not true.
On Thursday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the King of Talk recalled how Kelvin's name was dragged into a blind item concerning the international singer Sam Smith, two nights, and the amount of P2 million.
Netizens assumed it was Kelvin, but the Sparkle actor did not take it sitting down. He went on a Facebook livestream to shut it down.
“Ang dami na ring nag-ta-tag sa’kin, even my friends, sine-send sa’kin sa messenger, sa IG, parang kailangan ba lahat, ito ‘yung pag-usapan?” Kelvin told Tito Boy on Thursday.
[I was getting tagged so many things. Even my friends were sending them to me on Messenger, on IG. It was as if everybody was talking about that!]“Gusto ko lang sabihin sa kanila na hindi. Hindi totoo. Kumbaga, bakit ko gagawin ‘yun? Kumbaga, pinaghirapan ko lahat ng kung anong meron ako tapos sa ganoong klaseng bagay,” he added.
[I wanted to tell them that it's not true. It's not. Why would I do that? I work hard for what I have and then I get dragged into something like that?]Kelvin also clarified he’s not judging those who participate in such transactions.
“Pero ako kasi, hindi ako sanay nang hinuhusgahan ako. At hindi ko ginagawa ‘yung ganoong klaseng bagay. Mas gusto kong ginagastos ko ‘yung pera na kinikita ko,” he said.
[I am not used to people judging me that way. And I don't do such things. I like spending money that I actually earned.]In the course of the interview, the Kapuso actor also shared how he actually saves money (by maintaining two bank accounts), the things he like to spend on (currently motorcycles), and how he used to really hustle to have some money he can spend.
So “hindi. Hindi talaga,” Kelvin reiterated.
Kelvin is set to star in the upcoming “Encantadia” spin-off, “Sang’gre,” as Adamus, the first male Sang'gre, protected of the Brilyante ng Tubig.
Joining him are Bianca Umali as Terra, the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa; Faith da Silva as Flamarra, keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy; and Angel Guardian as Deia, keeper of the Brilyante ng Hangin.
Rhian Ramos is also joining the series as Mitena, Cassiopeia's twin, while Glaiza De Castro, Sanya Lopez, and Rocco Nacino are returning as Sang’gre Pirena, Sang’gre Danaya, and Mashna Aquil, respectively.
