Barbie Forteza, Juancho Triviño reunite with 'Maria Clara at Ibarra' director Zig Dulay

Barbie Forteza and Juancho Triviño didn't miss the chance to support their “Maria Clara at Ibarra” director, Zig Dulay.

Zig, the director of the upcoming film “Firefly,” held an advanced screening on Tuesday attended by Kapuso stars and personalities.

At the event, Barbie was seen taking selfies with Direk Zig, and Juancho also graced the event.

“Maria Clara at Ibarra” was one of the top series of GMA Network in 2022. It revolved around Gen Z nursing student Klay (played by Barbie), who gets transported into Jose Rizal’s novels “Noli Me Tangere” and later on “El Filibusterismo” to learn about Philippine history and how it affects the country today.

More cast members include Dennis Trillo as Crisostomo Ibarra, Julie Anne San Jose as Maria Clara, David Licauco as Fidel, and Juancho as Padre Salvi.

Meanwhile, “Firefly” is a magical realism film that will premiere at the Metro Manila Film Festival on Christmas Day, December 25. The coming-of-age road trip drama follows a young boy who searches for the mythical island described in his mother’s bedtime stories.

The cast includes Alessandra De Rossi, Euwenn Mikael Aleta, Dingdong Dantes, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Cherry Pie Picache, Epy Quizon, Yayo Aguila, Max Collins, and many more.
