Sharon Cuneta on relationship with Gabby Concepcion: 'We have not been in touch since our last concert'
Megastar Sharon Cuneta took to Instagram to tell fans of her tandem with Gabby Concepcion that they have not been in touch since their last “Dear Heart” concert.
“Please ‘listen.’ I understand that so very many of you Sharon-Gabby fans are thinking, or hoping that we are ‘back together’ in some way or another,” Sharon said.
“Reality check: We have not been in touch since our last concert, we do not talk, text, see each other. We are living totally separate lives and whatever has been going on in mine, he has absolutely nothing to do with, and vice-versa,” she added.
Sharon also expressed that while the concerts brought fans back to happier times, she said that there’s a reason why they have not gotten back together since separating in 1987.
The actress acknowledges that Gabby is her daughter KC’s father and will always be part of her story and life. However, they “cannot live together” because they have “very, very little in common.”
According to Sharon, the “Dear Heart” concerts might be the last time fans will see her and Gabby together “for a long time or even ever.”
To conclude her post, she asked fans to not bash and hurt her children.
“They are basically private people, KIDS pa, and do not deserve all of your negativity. Di sila kasali dito, so I beg you, please stay away from them and leave them in peace. This kind of treatment you give my children is evil and so unwarranted,” Sharon said.
In the end, Sharon thanked everyone for their understanding.
Sharon and Gabby wrapped up their successful “Dear Heart” concerts in November. Their daughter KC was one of the guests and she even surprised Sharon during one of the rehearsals.
Sharon is set to star with Alden Richards in the movie “Family of Two,” an official entry to the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival.
