Alden Richards thankful as 'Five Breakups and A Romance' reaches P100M in earnings
Alden Richards took to social media to express his gratitude for all the support "Five Breakups and A Romance" has been getting.
On Instagram, Asia's Multimedia Star shared that his blockbuster film with Julia Montes has already reached P100 million in earnings.
“Taos pusong pasasalamat sa tumangkilik,” Alden said in the caption.
“Umabot na ng ?100 Million gross sales ang Five Breakups and a Romance!” he added. “Sa lahat ng nanood, sa Pilipinas man o abroad, maraming maraming salamat!”
Directed by Irene Villamor, "Five Breakups and A Romance" follows the love story between Lance (Alden), a medical student, and Justine (Julia), an OFW in Singapore. The couple meets, reunites, fights, reconciles, and separates in an emotional journey, showing the reality of relationships.
It's now showing in Canada, Guam, and Saipan.
Previously, the film had screenings in Australia, the United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Qatar.
In the Philippines, "Five Breakups and a Romance" was a certified hit, earning gross sales of P72 million as of its fourth week.
