SB19's Stell explains his reaction to Vocalmyx's 'The Voice Generations' win
Stell of SB19 looked shell-shocked when his team, Vocalmyx, was announced as the first-ever grand winner of "The Voice Generations" on Sunday.
On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Coach Stell explained what was going on in his mind during Vocalmyx's winning moment in the competition.
According to Stell, he was preparing himself to react with happiness should his team win or react with acceptance should his team lose. When the moment of truth arrived, however, he could help but freeze in place.
"Nung tinawag 'yung Vocalmyx, nag-flashback lahat ng mga pagdududa ko sa sarili ko, pagdududa ko sa buong journey ko sa The Voice, even 'yung journey ko as SB19," he said.
"Parang, 'Talaga? Nangyayari 'to? Parang, 'Deserve ko ba 'to?' Parang pumasok 'yun sa isip ko," he added.
Stell said everything around him seemed have paused and quieted down at that moment.
"One thing for sure po is super happy po ng puso ko and super excited po ako and looking forward for the next projects and next season ng The Voice if ever po magkakaroon," he said.
Vocalmyx, an eight-member acapella group hailing from Cagayan de Oro, conquered "The Voice Generations" with their rendition of "Into The Unknown" from "Frozen 2."
The group bested Chito Miranda's Sorority, Billy Crawford's P3, and Julie Anne San Jose's Music and Me after winning the most number of votes in the grand finals.
Vocalmyx won P1 million prize as well as a recording and management contract with Universal Music Group.
