SB19's Stell on resolving the conflict with ShowBT: 'Maayos kaming nag-usap'

After a short conflict with ShowBT Entertainment over the rights to their group name and logo, SB19 member Stell is very happy they are able to continue as SB19.

On Monday’s episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Stell was candid enough to talk about the recent spat with ShowBT.

He said they were happy that things have been settled for both sides and that they can continue with their plans as a group.

“Maayos po kaming nag-usap and right now, we can finally continue with everything that we want to do,” Stell said.

In November, SB19 fans, aka A'TIN, noticed that the group’s members dropped “SB19” from their official Instagram handles and started referring to the group as MAHALIMA – the same name used by event organizers during their previous engagements.

Stell also addressed the cancellation of PAGTATAG! World Tour stops in Singapore and Bangkok, describing the unfortunate turn of events as “saddening.”

“Of course saddening siya na hindi natuloy kasi a lot of our fans are really looking forward to see us perform live,” he quipped.

The concert cancellations happened after SB19 left their agency, ShowBT Entertainment.

In October, they launched their own company,1Z Entertainment, with the band’s leader Pablo as the CEO.

“But for now, all i can say is let’s just wait for the news. Kasi we’re not sure pa kung ano ang next na gagawin namin,” he added.

The SB19 vocalist also said that they are still fixing some “things” that happened unexpectedly and are in the process of making their plans as a group.

“Isa-isa lang. Surely but smoothly,” he affirmed.

On Tuesday, 1Z Entertainment announced on Facebook that SB19 will retain its name as they have reached an amicable agreement with ShowBT Philippines Corp.

“We formally announce that we have come to an amicable agreement with ShowBT Philippines Corp. through a fair and equitable resolution,” the post read.

“Thank you for your patience and unwavering support towards SB19 and 1Z Entertainment. Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin eagerly anticipate reconnecting with all of you in their upcoming endeavors. We can’t wait to see you all again soon,” it concluded.
