Barbie Forteza, David Licauco reveal Christmas gifts they plan to give each other, share 'Pulang Araw' preparations

Barbie Forteza and David Licauco revealed that they already have ideas on what to give each other this Christmas.

In Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras,” Wednesday, the Kapuso Primetime Princess shared that she prefers receiving something with personal touches.

“Ako, mas na-appreciate ko if it's something personal, so ‘pag in-effort talaga. So, may it be food gan’yan or pagka ‘yung mga DIY talaga na klase ng regalo kasi pinag-effortan mo eh, hindi mo lang basta binili,” Barbie said.

[For me, I appreciate it more if it's something personal, like when there's real effort put into it. Whether it's food or those DIY kinds of gifts, because you really took the time and effort, not just buying something off the shelf.]

Team BarDa then shared the gifts they would give each other.

“Lamigin kasi siya kaya bibigyan ko siya ng jacket. Eh ikaw?” David said.

[She tends to get cold easily, so I will give her a jacket. How about you?]

“Ako, bibigyan kita ng neck pillow,” Barbie answered. “Alam naman natin na medyo may problem siya with sleeping, so kaya nagtataka ko bakit wala siyang neck pillow? Eh parang lagi siyang on the go, lagi siyang ‘di ba may business, lagi siyang traveling.”

[For me, I'll give you a neck pillow," Barbie answered. "We know that he has some issues with sleeping, so I wonder why he doesn't have a neck pillow. It seems like he's always on the go, always busy with his business, always traveling, right?]

The on-screen partners are set to star together in “Pulang Araw” with Sanya Lopez and Alden Richards.

Barbie and Sanya will play as vaudeville stars and have already started their preparations.

“Hirap na hirap kami. Kailangan tama talaga ‘yung footworks mo kasi maririnig eh, may sound talaga eh. Tsaka ibang klase ‘yung sapatos, medyo matigas siya,” Barbie said.

[We're really struggling. Your footwork needs to be precise because it can be heard, there's a definite sound. And the shoes are different; they're a bit hard.]

Meanwhile, David will study the Japanese language and take on gun handling training.

“Siyempre kailangan ko pa ring mag workout tuloy-tuloy tsaka ayun, I think may baril-barilan dun,” he said.

[Of course, I still need to continue working out. I think there are also guns involved.]

Barbie and David first made fans kilig when they worked together for the historical portal fantasy series “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”

They recently starred in their first lead role as a love team in “Maging Sino Ka Man,” a remake of the iconic '90s film of the same name, which starred Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla.

They also have an upcoming movie titled "That Kind of Love.”
