Marian Rivera says working with Dingdong Dantes in 'Rewind' helped her deliver her character better

Marian Rivera is surely booked and busy this holiday season!

In Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras,” Tuesday, the Kapuso Primetime Queen shared some updates and teasers ahead of her upcoming movie, “Rewind.”

“‘Pag pinanood nila ‘yung pelikula, siguradong iiyak talaga sila. At paglabas ng pelikula na ‘to, ‘pag napanood nila, iyak na maluwag sa loob, iyak na sa sasabihin mong 'Ay, eto pala talaga ‘yung wake up call ko to love my family more,’” Marian said.

[When they watch the movie, they will surely cry. And after watching this film, when they see it, it will be a tearful release, a moment where you'll say, 'Oh, this is really my wake-up call to love my family more.]

She also shared that she felt grateful that she was paired with her husband, Dingdong Dantes, in the film.

“Malaking factor na ‘yung asawa ko ‘yung ka-partner ko dito para ma-deliver ko ‘yung character nang mas maganda. Kasi buhay itong mag-asawa, the conflict, and  parang ang tanong d’yan, ‘Kung bibigyan ka ba ng pagkakataong mabuhay ulit or bibigyan ka nang pagkakataon na i-rewind ang mga gusto mong mangyari, ano bang babalikan mo?’” she said.

[It's a big factor that my husband is my partner here so I can deliver the character better. Because this is the life of a married couple, the conflicts, and it's like the question there is, 'If you were given the chance to live again or given the opportunity to rewind the things you want to happen, what would you go back to?]

"Rewind” marks DongYan's return to the big screen since "You to Me Are Everything," which was released in 2010.

In the film, they will play a couple whose marriage is on the rocks. The movie dropped its first trailer on November 13.

Aside from “Rewind,” Marian is also set to return to GMA Primetime with Gabby Concepcion.

“Actually, magaan ka-trabaho si Kuya Gabby at lahat ng mga cast dun, like sila Kiray, lahat kami dun looking forward talaga na nagte-taping. Kasi ‘pag nandun kami, sama-sama kami or kung nandun man ako sa dressing room ako, palagi nila akong pinupuntahan,” Marian said.

[Actually, Kuya Gabby is easy to work with, and all the cast there, like Kiray, all of us there are really looking forward to taping. Because when we're there, we're all together, or if I'm in the dressing room, they always come to visit me.]

Titled “Against All Odds,” the series will feature Marian in dual roles, including that of an alien character.
