Mark Reyes shares sneak peek of 'Sang'gre' cast in student costumes

It looks like the cast of “Sang’gre” will have to deal with the real world before facing fantastical challenges.

In series director Mark Reyes’ Instagram post, Bianca Umali, who plays Terra, the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa and daughter of Danaya, is seen sporting modern clothes and a school ID, instead of a diwata’s clothing. 

Therese Malvar, Vince Maristela, and Pam Prinster were also in costume as students.

“Working with the kiddoes of #sanggre,” Direk Mark said in his caption.

The comments section is filled with fans who can’t wait to see what the series has to offer.

“Sang’gre” will feature a new generation of diwatas. Starring alongside Bianca is Faith Da Silva as Flamarra, keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy; Kelvin Miranda as Adamus, the new protector of the Brilyante ng Tubig; and Angel Guardian as Deia, the keeper of the Brilyante ng Hangin.

Sang’gres from the 2016 “Encantadia” remake, Glaiza De Castro and Sanya Lopez will reprise their roles as Pirena and Danaya, respectively.

Rocco Nacino will also be back as Aquil. Rhian Ramos is joining the series as Mitena, Cassiopeia's twin.

The fierce first teaser of “Sang’gre” was unveiled at ManiPopCon 2023.
