'Firefly' unveils official movie poster

Are you excited to see "Firefly" on the big screen this December?

In a special reveal, GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs have unveiled the official movie poster of “Firefly,” an official entry to the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) .

Designed by Justin Besana, the poster has a touch of whimsy, showcasing not only fireflies but also representing the seaside, where Tonton (Euwenn Mikaell) and his mother, played by Alessandra de Rossi, unfold their story.

Directed by Zig Dulay, "Firefly" is a coming-of-age road trip drama about a young boy who searches for the mythical “Island of Fireflies” described in his mother's bedtime stories.

Its official teaser trailer was launched on November 8.

The film also stars Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Dingdong Dantes, Cherry Pie Picache, Epy Quizon, Yayoy Aguila, Max Collins, and Kokoy de Santos.

“Firefly” opens in cinemas on December 25. MMFF 2023 will run from December 2023 to January 2024.
