SEVENTEEN's Mingyu on UNESCO Youth Forum: 'I hope our messages resonated with the youth'
SEVENTEEN's Mingyu has nothing but gratitude after their group spoke and performed at the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum in Paris, France.
On Instagram, the SEVENTEEN member posted some snaps taken during their forum and said, "We had such a meaningful, memorable time here in Paris."
Mingyu said he is hoping that SEVENTEEN's message "resonated with the youth across the world."
"I’ll continue to work hard to become a positive influence," he added.
Mingyu then proceeded to thank UNESCO, Paris, and their fans for their milestone.
SEVENTEEN attended the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum earlier this week, making them the first K-pop act to speak and perform at the said forum.
According to UNESCO, SEVENTEEN’s participation in the forum emphasizes the important role of artists in global dialogues.
The group spoke about solidarity, hope, and growth. They also sang several of their top hit songs, which include “_WORLD,” “Darl+ing,” “Headliner,” and “God of Music.”
Ahead of their appearance at the forum, SEVENTEEN returned with their 11th mini album “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN” in October, selling 5.2 million copies in preorder sales.
SEVENTEEN will be heading to the Philippines in January for their “Follow to Bulacan,” tour on January 13 and 14, 2023 at the Philippine Sports Stadium.
