Iza Calzado turned emotional during her visit to GMA Network after 12 years.

On Tuesday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Iza said she had goosebumps as soon as she stepped inside the GMA building.

“It’s nice to be back. Hindi ko sukat akalain na mangyayari ito,” Iza said.

The “Encantadia” actress said the first thing she did when she arrived in the building was take a photo with the “Beyond Broadcasting” statue on GMA’s facade.

“Ang unang naisip ko, nagpa-picture kasi ako do’n sa statue, [tapos] tumingin ako sa gazebo, namiss ko yung tatay ko,” Iza said while tearing up.

[The first thing I thought of — I had my picture taken by the statue, and then I looked at the gazebo. I missed my dad.]

“Kasi laman siya no’n, eh. Kung nakatrabaho niyo ‘yung tatay ko dito, nagsisigarilyo ‘yun, nakatambay,” she added. “And somehow I visualized him greeting me with the warmest smile.”

[Because he used to hang out there a lot. If you worked with my dad here before, he would smoke and hang out there. And somehow, I visualized him greeting me with the warmest smile.]

Iza's father, Lito Calzado, passed away in 2011 at age 65. The following year, in 2012, she transferred to ABS-CBN.

During the “Fast Talk” portion of the show, Iza said she’s open to working on a project with GMA again if the opportunity presents itself. It doesn't seem far off.

During last week's anniversary of “It’s Showtime,” she joined her fellow original Sang’gres of “Encantadia,” Diana Zubiri and Sunshine Dizon for their fellow OG Karylle's “Magpasikat” performance.

Earlier this month, Karylle, Iza, and Diana sent their heartfelt messages to the cast of the upcoming series “Sang’gre," the spin-off series of “Encantadia.” — Hermes Joy Tunac/LA, GMA Integrated News
