Xian Lim issues statement amid 'plenty of hearsay'
Xian Lim released a statement on Saturday, asking the public to be mindful in choosing what to believe from “deceiving headlines.”
On Instagram, the actor posted a lengthy message regarding an issue he did not specify.
“Plenty of hearsay happening right now and I would like to ask everyone to be mindful of what you chose to believe in deceiving headlines and other information used to just pretend to know the whole story for personal gain and traction," he said. "I ask to be mindful of what you share.”
He then asked to leave his family and friends out of the “insignificant issue,” comparing the unnamed matter to global issues.
“I am in the entertainment industry but I am not here to entertain. I am here to express, I am here to breathe life to the characters I play. I am here to tell you a story in whatever shape or form it may be,” he said.
“I am not here to explain and satisfy ones curiosity. I am not here to ask for sympathy and spread hate. That is not who I am,” he added.
Xian ended his post by saying he loves the people around him as well as the opportunity given to him.
“I will continue to use my voice to share my purpose. I will continue to find it, search for it and be the best version of me that I can become and hopefully leave a mark in this lifetime,” he said.
Last month, Xian shared a video showcasing his piano skills along with a motivational message.
"I always say this, please bear with me. There will be lots of times where you just feel off and nothing seems to go right. Don't worry, it's OK to feel down from time to time," he said.
He also shared quotes about being surrounded by good people and remaining kind despite the challenges.
Xian has his own podcast titled "Experience Life” and is set to star in the upcoming GMA series "Love. Die. Repeat" with Jennylyn Mercado, Valeen Montenegro, Ina Feleo, and Victor Anastacio.
