Alden Richards lauds honest rider who returned cousin's phone

Alden Richards took to Facebook to express gratitude to an honest service rider, who he said “deserves to be seen.”

In a rare personal post, the actor shared that when he got to the gym, he learned through the caretaker that his cousin lost his phone.

“Since my cousin and I don’t have any means of communication, agad agad ginawa ko lahat ng way para matrace ko yung cellphone niya,” Alden said.

Later, Alden answered a call from an unknown number.

“Nagulat ako na siya pala yung service driver na nasakyan ng pinsan ko going to the gym,” Alden said.

Asia’s Multimedia Star added that he did not introduce himself.

“Hindi ako nagpakilala kung sino ako, pero nag-effort siya nung sinabi ko kung pwede ko bang makuha yung phone. Without thinking twice, from Bulacan bumiyahe siya papuntang Podium, dahil meron akong screenings for ‘Five Breakups and a Romance,” he said.

Appreciating the rider’s efforts, Alden said, “Kaya sa ‘yo Kuya Alexis Verdejolo Ohno, Mabuhay ka! Sana marami pang tao ang tumulad sayo. Maraming maraming salamat[.]”

Alden stars alongside Julia Montes in “Five Breakups and a Romance.” It follows Lance (Alden) and Justine (Julia) who show the beautiful and painful realities of being in a relationship throughout eight years. Alden and Julia had some strong scenes, such as an intense fight and a hot kiss.

He is also starring in “A Mother and Son’s Story” with Sharon Cuneta. It is an official entry to the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival.
