Original Sang'gres Iza Calzado, Karylle, Diana Zubiri, Sunshine Dizon reunite on 'It's Showtime'

The original Sang’gres of “Encantadia” just reunited on the “It’s Showtime” stage!

On Tuesday, Iza Calzado, Diana Zubiri, and Sunshine Dizon joined Karylle’s team for their heartwarming “Magpasikat” performance.

The four Sang’gres took viewers back to 2005 with their phenomenal fighting skills, complete with their costumes inspired by the hit GMA fantasy television series.

Karylle said that Diana flew all the way from Australia just so she could join them in their performance!

She also thanked “Encantadia” director Direk Mark Reyes for helping her accomplish the surprise.

“Shoutout sa aming direktor, Direk Mark Reyes, isa sa talagang bumuo sa aming grupo! Thank you so much for helping me with the big surprise,” Karylle said.

Earlier this month, Karylle, Iza, and Diana sent their heartfelt messages to the cast of “Encantadia’s” upcoming spin-off series, “Sang’gre.”

“Sang’gre” stars Bianca Umali as Terra, the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa; Faith Da Silva as Flamarra, keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy; and Kelvin Miranda as Adamus, the new protector of the Brilyante ng Tubig.

It will also star Rhian Ramos, who will play Mitena, Cassiopeia's twin.

Direk Mark said last June that production for “Sang’gre” will start soon, with the cast now training for their fight scenes. —Carby Basina/JCB, GMA Integrated News
