Glaiza De Castro to return as Pirena on 'Sang'gre'

Glaiza De Castro is all set to return as Pirena in the “Encantadia” spin-off series “Sang’gre.”

Dressed in a fiery all-red outfit, the Kapuso actress announced on Instagram, “Ikinagagalak kong makita kayong muli, mga warka [bruha].”

Glaiza played the tenacious Sang’gre Pirena in the 2016 remake of “Encantadia.” Pirena is the firstborn daughter of Minea and Hagorn, known for her fiery and assertive personality.

“Sang’gre,” will feature a new generation of diwatas. It stars Bianca Umali as Terra, the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa; Faith Da Silva as Flamarra, keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy; and Kelvin Miranda as Adamus, the new protector of the Brilyante ng Tubig.

Rhian Ramos is also joining the series as Mitena, Cassiopeia's twin.

Series director Mark Reyes said last June that production for “Sang’gre” will start soon, with the cast now training for their fight scenes.
