Joey Paras to have public wake on November 2


Joey Paras’ wake will be opened to the public on Thursday, November 2, his family announced.

According to PEP.ph, the late actor and comedian’s relatives Jassam Paras Sinchon and Zciara Shayne Sinchon-Fabian announced the wake details on their Facebook pages.

Joey’s remains are currently laid at Room 102, St. Peter Chapel Annex, New Building, Scout Chuatoco corner Panay Avenue, Quezon City.

Details of the interment have yet to be announced.

“Again, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support and appreciation for the kind words, caring thoughts, and prayers that we received from all of you,” Jassam said on Facebook.

“Any help would be highly appreciated. Please be aware that the channels sent to you by our immediate family are the only official accounts that we endorse for help in light of reports of misinformation spreading and scammers taking advantage of this situation,” Jassam added.

“May we request to include him in your prayers for the eternal repose of his soul.”

Joey died on Sunday at the age of 45.

The cause of death was not disclosed, but Joey had a heart condition and was fitted with a pacemaker in 2018.

Among Joey’s memorable film and television appearances include “Bekikang: Ang Nanay Kong Beki,” “Last Supper No. 3,” “Babagwa,” and “Mulawin vs. Ravena.”

Joey was also a theater actor and playwright. He wrote the Virgin Labfest play "Bawal Tumawid, Nakakamatay" and appeared in "Zsazsa Zaturnah Ze Muzikal." Nika Roque/KBK, GMA Integrated News
