Nikki de Moura admits disappointment after failing to place in Miss Grand International
Nikki de Moura admitted feeling disappointed after bowing out early of Miss Grand International.
The beauty queen took to Instagram to write about her feelings, saying her "heart aches with disappointment."
"I poured my heart and soul into representing the Philippines," Nikki said.
But the beauty queen is choosing to find the silver lining to things, adding “In the face of this heartache, I choose gratitude."
With life’s ups and downs, the beauty queen said she remains “determined to make the most of every moment.”
She said, “I understand I may still be young, I will continue to work hard, learn, and grow, because I believe that disappointment is only a stepping stone to future success.”
Nikki added that this is just the beginning of something greater for her, “and I’m excited to see where life’s adventures will take me.”
“Now, I stand before you, not as a part of the top 20, but as someone who gave her all,” Nikki said.
“I may not have claimed the crown, but I carry the honor of representing the Philippines with pride and gratitude in my heart,” she added.
In the comment section, Miss Grand International 2023 Luciana Fuster gave some words of affirmation for Nikki.
“MY BABY QUEEN, you have a very pure soul. In these almost 30 days together I discovered on you a very solid woman despite your age!! Keep going Nicole de la Mariposaaa de Las Filipinas. The world loves you!” the Peruvian beauty queen said.
More of Nikki’s fellow beauty queens like Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold, Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez, Miss Grand Philippines 2021 Samantha Panlilio, Miss Grand International 2023 2nd runner up María Alejandra López, and many more said in the comments section that they are so proud of Nikki and are looking forward to seeing her new endeavors.
Nikki was crowned Miss Grand Philippines 2023 in July, and quickly got to work.
She served incredible visuals during the international pageant’s swimsuit competition and brought the Philippines’ rich festival celebrations at the national costume competition.
Nikki failed to make it to the Top 20 at the coronation night in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Wednesday.
