'Black Rider' Ruru Madrid is grateful that Bianca Umali came into his life

On “24 Oras,” Wednesday, Aubrey Carampel interviewed Primetime Action Hero Ruru Madrid to talk about his upcoming primetime series, “Black Rider.”

Feeling both pressured and excited, Ruru shared that he did his own stunts for the show, saying it has always been his dream to become an action star.

“Hindi lahat nabibigyan po ng pagkakataon makagawa ng teleserye na action so sabi ko kahit na, of course, dadating at dadating ‘yung araw na maaaksidente ka, pero iba ‘yung satisfaction niya sa akin everytime na pinapanood ko ‘yung sarili ko na alam ko na ako mismo ‘yung gumawa niyan,” he explained.

[Not everyone gets the opportunity to work on an action series, so I thought, even if, of course, accidents may happen, there's a different satisfaction I feel when I watch myself, knowing that I did it myself.]

If Ruru is proud of “Black Rider,” his real-life leading lady, actress Bianca Umali, is also equally proud of him.

A heartfelt message from Bianca, as revealed during her interview with Nelson Canlas, moved Ruru to tears.

In her message, Bianca said that Ruru “deserves everything that he has right now.”

“Alam ko ‘yung dedikasyon niya so kung ano ‘yung ginagawa niya at kung nasaan siya ngayon pinanalangin niya ‘yun, Kuya Nelson, pinaghirapan niya iyan kaya siya nandiyan. I am so proud of him [and] I will never get tired of being his number one cheerleader nasaan man siya sa buhay,” Bianca tearfully said.

[I know his dedication, so whatever he's doing and wherever he is now, he prayed for it, Kuya Nelson. He worked hard for it, and that's why he's there. I am so proud of him, and I will never get tired of being his number one cheerleader, no matter where he is in life.]

In response, Ruru couldn't help but shed tears, saying, “I’m just very grateful na dumating siya sa buhay ko. Sabi ko nga, hindi ko matutupad itong mga pangarap ko kung hindi dahil sa kanya. Nahanap ko kung sino talaga ako.”

[I'm just very grateful that she came into my life. I've said it before, I wouldn't have achieved these dreams if it weren't for her. I discovered who I really am.]

Be still, our RuCa hearts!

The couple will be busy working on their upcoming projects. It was revealed on Monday, October 23, that Bianca will be portraying the role of “Terra,” the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa in “Sang’gre: Encantadia Chronicles.”

Meanwhile, Ruru is gearing up for the premiere of "Black Rider" on November 6. The GMA Public Affairs series also features Yassi Pressman, Kylie Padilla, Matteo Guidecelli, Jon Lucas, and more.
