Jodi Sta. Maria on what's it like kissing Joshua Garcia in 'Unbreak My Heart': 'It was great'

Jodi Sta. Maria was caught off guard when Boy Abunda asked her what it was like to do a torrid kissing scene with Joshua Garcia for "Unbreak My Heart."

On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the 41-year-old actress was seen turning shy to answer the question. She eventually responded with, "It was great," followed by "Charot," which means "just kidding."

“Nasa scene ‘yun, kailangan kasi talagang passionate, ganun ‘yung encounter with Renz, and ang iniisip ko na lang, si Renz ‘to,” she added.

Renz was the character portrayed by Joshua in the historic collaboration series between GMA Network and ABS-CBN.

According to Jodi, doing such a scene made her nervous despite being in show business for many years. 

“I have never been so nervous in my entire life na ang hirap kasi talaga gumawa [ng ganung scene],” Jodi said.

The actress also credited the sensuality workshop they underwent for "Unbreak My Heart," which set the boundaries of the actors when dealing with intimate scenes. 

“Importante na ma-set ‘yung boundaries eh, doon sa mga ganung klaseng eksena,” Jodi said. “Syempre, para magkaroon ng trust sa ka-eksena mo and at the same time, ‘yung alam niyo na nirerespeto kita, na I won’t make you feel violated,” she added.

[It's important to set the boundaries for scenes like that, so that you can develop that trust with your co-actor. At the same time, you know he respects you, that he won't make you feel violated.]

"Unbreak My Heart," which also stars Richard Yap and Gabbi Garcia, airs on GMA Telebabad, Pinoy Hits, and I Heart Movies at 9:35 p.m. and 11:25 p.m. on GTV from Mondays to Fridays.
