Claudine Barretto admits she is nervous for her comeback series, 'Lovers/Liars'

Claudine Barretto admitted that she has been feeling nervous for her upcoming series, “Lovers/Liars.”

In Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras,” Friday, the veteran actress said that she has been throwing up because of nerves.

“I’ve been throwing up because of ‘yung nerbyos ko talaga na, you know, sasalang ulit ako sa teleserye, kung ano talaga ang forte ko. Pero, sabi nga nila, kapag ka hindi ka ninerbyos, dun ka nenerbyosin,” Claudine said.

The series also marks her first time working with Rob Gomez, Lianne Valentin, Shaira Diaz, Yaser Marta, Polo Ravales, Christian Vasquez, and Sarah Edwards.

Claudine is set to portray a successful corporate woman in the upcoming series, who unexpectedly falls in love with a younger man.

“Well, that really happens in real life, lalo na ngayon, it’s more accepted na by everybody and there’s nothing wrong,” she said.

When asked if there’s a possibility for her to fall in love with a younger man in real life, Claudine answered, “Sa totoo lang, hindi. Mas older pa. Older men kasi parang I always see kasi ‘yung mga nephews ko. Parang iniisip ko, ‘ay kasing age lang ni Cholo ‘to or ng ibang pamangkin ko.’”

Claudine’s acting comeback is also timely, as she just achieved her desired weight.

She is now 80 pounds lighter because of intermittent fasting and working out.

“Ang akin lang is that I’ve always been thin. So for me to gain so much weight, parang, and artista ka pa, one day, I just woke up and said ‘wala, I’m gonna fix my life, I’m gonna have to go on a strict diet, work out, and look even better than before,’” she said.

According to “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” “Lovers/Liars” will air in the allotted time slot for "Unbreak My Heart."

Claudine last appeared on GMA Telebabad in 2011 for the series "Iglot."
