Barbie Forteza, David Licauco's 'Maging Sino Ka Man' kiss interrupted by Hika

Barbie Forteza and David Licauco's fans were left hanging again with an almost-kiss scene!

On Wednesday's episode of "Maging Sino Ka Man," Barbie's character, Monique, had a few glasses of wine with her former professor, who was played by Alice Dixson.

But soon enough, she had to leave Monique with Carding (played by David).

Monique invited Carding to share the remaining wine with her, but Carding refused, recalling that Monique might lose control of herself again like she did when they met at a bar.

When Monique finally remembered what Carding was referring to, she couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

She also accused Carding, saying that he probably did something to her.

"Oo, alam ko, marami akong kabulastugan pero hindi ibig sabihin no'n na kaya kong mambastos ng babae. Eh kung iisipin mo nga, puwede ko ngang gawin sa 'yo 'yung sinasabi mong gagawin ko eh," Carding said in defense. "Kahit gustong-gusto kong gawin."

Monique asked Carding what action he was referring to.

He didn't want to answer at first, but he eventually gave in.

"Hindi ko na sasabihin, gagawin ko nalang," Carding said, pulling Monique closer.

Monique then placed her hand on Carding's face as she slowly leaned in.

Unfortunately, BarDa's kiss was interrupted again when Hika suddenly entered the scene, asking Monique for his inhaler.

The responsible Monique had to act fast and attend to Hika's needs, leaving Carding behind.

This was not the first time that someone intruded on Barbie and David's on-screen kiss.

In "Maria Clara at Ibarra," their characters, Klay and Fidel, almost kissed, too, but were interrupted by Luri Vincent Nalus's character, coachman Hernando.

BarDa fans could not help but have a meltdown on X (formerly Twitter), saying that another character with a name starting with H ruined the kilig moment.

Others quipped that they need an inhaler themselves just like Hika after hoping against hope that Carding and Monique will finally kiss.

More fans have been posting under the #MSKMNakamamatayNaKilig, which rose to the no. 2 trending topic in the Philippines with over 11,000 posts.

"Maging Sino Ka Man" is a remake of the iconic '90s film of the same name, which starred Robin Padilla and Sharon Cuneta.

The special limited series airs weeknights on GMA Telebabad at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also livestreamed on the GMA Network YouTube channel and GMANetwork.com/KapusoStream.
