'GMA Supershow' hosts reunite, perform theme song

The hosts of “GMA Supershow” delighted the TV show’s fans as they reunited once again — and even sang its theme song together!

On Instagram, Jackie Lou Blanco shared a video compilation taken from their get-together, along with a throwback clip from one of their episodes.

There was Dawn Zulueta, Lani Mercado, Arlene Mulach, Pops Fernandez, Mariz Ricketts, Rachel Anne Wolf, and John Nite.

Hosted by the late German Moreno, “GMA Supershow” aired from May 7, 1978 to January 26, 1997.

With a total of 978 episodes, it held the record as the longest-running Sunday noontime variety show until 2015.

“GMA Supershow was a Sunday lunch habit. It was where you’d see all your favorite stars,song and dance numbers,” Jackie Lou wrote in the caption.

“But to us, it was so much more. It was where we developed a special bond. Special friendships,” she continued.

The actress said that it was where they became a family.

“Some of us left, some stayed. Time passed and life happened. But family will always be family. No matter what, the love always remains,” she wrote, adding that she’s so happy they got together again.

“Alam kong masayang masaya si Kuya Germs....Lalo na kami,” she said.

In the comment section, Iza Calzado shared she was a fan of the show.

“I always looked forward to being with daddy every Sunday to watch all of you, onstage and backstage!” she wrote.

“Hoping for reunion of orig hosts like Zsa Zsa, Jackie Lou and Sharon,” another user commented.

“Yes! Praying we will be complete for our next one,” Jackie Lou replied with a heart emoji.
