GMA Network executives visit 'It's Showtime'

“It’s Showtime” had some special visitors on Thursday — none other than the executives of GMA Network Inc.

GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and CEO of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes; Sparkle Vice President Joy Marcelo; Sparkle Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia, Janna Revilla, and Carmina Cruz, paid a visit to the noontime show.

ABS-CBN Corporation’s Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes and Head of Non-Scripted Formats TV Production Lui Andrada were also present.

“Sobrang espesyal ng araw na ito dahil kasama natin si Tita Cory and Ms. Annette, and the most beautiful ladies of GMA-7,” host Amy Perez said at the show’s opening.

Ryan Bang said, “Ang masasabi ko lang, ang gaganda ng mga boss natin."

Vidanes and Gozon-Valdes then gamely greeted the audience with the iconic, “What’s up, Madlang People!” followed by “What’s up, Madlang Kapuso!”

After the “It’s Showtime” theme song, Ryan gave an update about his guesting on “Bubble Gang.”

“Nagulat sila Kuya Bitoy. Alam mo bakit? Ang daming takes, lagi ako mali,” he said. “Nagkamot 'yung mga ulo ng mga director.”

Ryan said after this, “Ms. Annette, stay beautiful. Thank you po.”

His fellow hosts also teased him about wanting to be in a loveteam with Gozon-Valdes because of her Korean-like beauty.

“Pasensya na po Ms. Annette. Hindi ko alam kung ano 'yung bibitaw ko po na pangalan. Bago po ako nag-interview, nakita ko kayo sa hallway kaya binitaw ko po. Pasensya na po, boss.”

Ryan added, “Hindi ko akalain kasi na kayo po 'yung boss. Sobrang ganda, akala ko po artista kayo. Hindi ko po maulit, pasensya na po.”

Gozon-Valdes couldn't help her laughter.

It’s Showtimedebuted on GMA Network’s GTV last July.

On Thursday, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) denied the motion for reconsideration filed by "It's Showtime" after its decision to suspend the noontime show for 12 airing days.
