Michelle Dee says her Mark Bumgarner gown for Miss Universe 2023 'will be iconic'

Michelle Dee revealed that fashion designer Mark Bumgarner is still her evening gown designer for the upcoming Miss Universe competition in November.

The same designer made the piece Michelle wore during the Miss Universe Philippines 2023, earning her the special award for Best in Evening Gown.

In a report on “Unang Balita” on Wednesday, the beauty queen said that Bumgarner understands her vision for the gown she’ll bring to the international pageant.

“It’s Mark Bumgarner, of course. He knows what I want to achieve, he knows the vision,” the Kapuso star said.

“I truly believe that the gown will be iconic [afterward],” she added.

Michelle also recently signed a contract to become an ambassador of the Autism Society of The Philippines, the report added.

According to Michelle, it’s a significant achievement for her because autism awareness is an advocacy close to her heart because she has two siblings, Adam and Mazen, who are both on the spectrum.

With the Miss Universe Philippine crown on her head and her firm advocacy in place, Michelle is set to represent the country on the global stage at El Salvador on November 18. —Hermes Tunac/JCB, GMA Integrated News
