Meet the veteran actors and influencers who are now officially Sparkle artists

Veteran actors, hosts, and influencers are among the new faces in the Sparkle family as they sealed the deal during the Signed for Stardom event on Friday.

Among the agency’s new artists are established character actors Amy Austria, Maricar De Mesa, Archie Alemania, and Nadine Samonte. Although veterans in the industry, the artists share that they still have a lot to offer.

Now having a home in the Kapuso network, Amy hopes to explore new characters. “Gusto ko sana 'yung mga role ni Barbie,” she said with a smile.

“Tapos' yung mga leading man ko, asan 'yung mga bata diyan,” she jokingly added.

Maricar is likewise thankful for the opportunity. “I've been in the industry for 30 years now, it is my 30th year, and officially Kapuso na ako.”

Now that she is a mom, Maricar also hopes to play mothers because she has experienced their emotions.

Comedian Archie said that he can play any character.

“[Bilang] baguhan sa industriya, lahat kaya ko. Lahat — tarantado, mabait, kaklase, high school, kahit babae kaya ko. Any po na ibigay niyo, gagawin ko ng sobrang to the highest level,” he said.

Nadine, on the other hand, has returned to the Kapuso network. The actress said that after giving birth to her third baby, “it's my time to shine again.”

For young artists, Nadine has these pieces of advice: “Be respectful. Put your feet down, alam niyo 'yun, be humble all the time. And love what you are doing. Give your best in everything you do kasi 'pag binigay mo lahat ng best mo, babalik din 'yun sa ‘yo nang a thousand, thousand times.”

Additionally, hosts and influencers MJ Ordillano, Maureen Schrijvers, Mica Salamanca, Ashley Sandrine Yap, and Janeena Chan are now officially Sparkle talents and are looking forward to furthering their careers and exploring new opportunities with the agency.

MJ is best known as the Mister International 2022 4th runner-up.

Maureen, meanwhile, is a national athlete and new weather presenter on “24 Oras.”

Janeena has also made a name for herself as one of the country’s top event hosts.

Mica and Ashley are well-known vloggers. Ashley’s father Richard Yap also renewed his contract with Sparkle at the event. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
