Dingdong Dantes explains why his voice sounded different in 'Royal Blood' episode
"Royal Blood" fans noticed that Dingdong Dantes sounded different in one of the episodes that aired earlier this week.
On Instagram, the Kapuso Primetime King explained the reason for this—he caught the flu.
He also shared two scenes to show how he actually sounded like during the take—his voice was indeed raspy.
"Nawalan ako ng boses during our last taping day, at hindi ako nakapag-dub dahil bumalik ang boses ko 2 araw matapos ito, kaya hindi naabutan ang airing," he said.
"Kudos to all the staff who still made the airing possible despite this setback," he added. Ingat din kayo kasi meron talagang flu na umiikot. Kaya ayan, nadale ako. Haha."
Dingdong said "the show must go on," so the lines of his character Napoy were dubbed by someone else instead.
"Royal Blood" will air its final episode on Friday at 8:50 p.m. after "Maging Sino Ka Man."
The murder-mystery series captured the attention of the viewers with its unpredictable plot twists and standout performances from its stars, which include Rhian Ramos, Mikael Daez, Megan Young, Lianne Valentin, and Tirso Cruz III.
