Alessandra de Rossi, JM de Guzman’s ‘What If’ is top movie on Netflix Philippines

Alessandra de Rossi and JM de Guzman’s “What If” is currently the #1 movie on Netflix Philippines!

It dominated Netflix’s top 10 movies list, outranking “The Pope’s Exorcist,” “Jack Reacher,” “The Italian Job,” “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back,” “The Grinch,” and others.

On Instagram Stories, Alessandra has been celebrating the film's little feat, reposting netizens and friends who greeted her for the achievement. 

Directed by Emmanuel Quindo Palo, "What If" follows the story of a newlywed couple who gets trapped on a remote island, putting their relationship to the test.

It also stars Angie Castrence, Soliman Cruz, and Jett Pangan.

It premiered on the streaming service on September 7.

Alex teased the project last year, posting a photo of three scripts bearing her name and JM's name.

Aside from “What If,” Alex also starred in her in directorial debut, “My Amanda," which was streamed on Netflix last year.

She has been making waves with her hit indie films in recent years, such as "Kita Kita" with Empoy Marquez, "Through Night and Day" with Paolo Contis, and "My Amanda" with Piolo Pascual.
