Joross Gamboa admits he didn't want to enter showbiz when he was younger

Joining the show business industry wasn't part of Joross Gamboa's plans when he was younger.

In Monday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the Kapuso actor said he used to look at actors as "baduy."

"Before nababaduyan ako sa mga artista, mas gusto ko lang noon maging model," he admitted.

Noong time kasi na 'yun pupunta ako sa US para mag nursing, so ayun laro lang sa 'kin [mag-artista] before pero nag-grow siya sa 'kin," he added.

Joross explained further that he didn't want to be an actor because he didn't know much about the showbiz industry in the Philippines.

"Wala akong knowledge about Philippine [showbiz] industry itself kasi hindi ko kilala 'yung mga artista," he said.

"Pero natutunan ko 'yun, noong pinasok ko 'yung industriya, ay iba pala 'to, iba 'yung lalim, iba 'yung kultura," he added.

Joross is currently starring in GMA's afternoon series "The Missing Husband," together with Yasmien Kurdi and Rocco Nacino.
