Neri Naig shares learnings as she turns 40: 'Yakapin ang mga challenges with kindness'
Neri Naig-Miranda turned 40 on Thursday and she took to Instagram to share some hard-earned wisdom.
In her post, the businesswoman and actress said to embrace challenges "with kindness."
“Hindi madali lalo na kapag ikaw ang naagrabyado, be kind, no matter how others act. Don't let bad people change your good heart,” she said.
Another lesson is, “Don't confuse money with true richness.”
“Wag maging gahaman. Mayaman ka nga, marami ka namang kaaway. Hindi sukatan ang pera sa tunay na yaman. Baka mayaman ka nga sa mata ng iba, pero wala kang tunay na kaibigan.”
Neri also reminds that there is a lesson that comes with every mistake or difficulty. “Hindi na kailangan pang magsisi sa nakaraan. Ang mahalaga ay natuto ka."
Neri added, “Be with good people, cherish real friends, and set boundaries.”
The entrepreneur and author also shared a quote from her upcoming book, “Wais Na Misis,” about how when life throws her lemons, she makes use of them.
“Kinolekta ko ang bawat isa at ginamit sa pinakamagandang paraan — naging lemonade, lemon pie, sabon, at pampabango. Ano ang sunod? Binenta ko sila lahat at pinatunayan ang aking kakayahan!” she said. “Hindi ako nagpatalo. Hindi madali pero kinaya at kinakaya.”
At 40, Neri said she is grateful to God for her husband Chito Miranda, and her family’s love and support.
Chito and Neri tied the knot in 2014. They have two sons, Miggy and Cash.
Neri is currently taking up her master's in business administration. She also owns several businesses, including selling gourmet tuyo, putting up a Baguio rest house for rent, and a beauty salon, among many others.
