Martin del Rosario thanks supporters: ‘Prinsipe Zardoz a.k.a Jomfre now signing off’
A few moments after “Voltes V: Legacy” aired its final episode, Martin del Rosario, who played the role of Prince Zardoz, thanked his supporters.
On X (formerly Twitter), Martin wrote a short message of gratitude.
“Maraming salamat sa suporta sa #VoltesVLegacy at sa pagmamahal na binigay ninyo kay Prinsipe Zardoz,” he said.
“It was an honor to play a very challenging and complex role. I am proud to have been a part of this mega serye,” Martin added.
The actor ended his post by writing, “Prinsipe Zardoz a.k.a Jomfre now signing off. TUSENTAK[.]”
Martin’s followers then commended him for his exceptional acting.
“Congratulations martin, pinaiyak mo ko,” one replied.
“Thank you sobrang ginalingan nyo po ang portrayal nyo ke Prinsipe Zardoz. Congrats po,” another user wrote.
Intense action
The fight scenes in the upcoming series "Voltes V: Legacy" can get pretty intense.
In May, Martin shared that his sword once ran across Miguel Tanfelix's forehead when their blades slid against each other while shooting a scene.
"Siyempre nag-apologize ako and si Miguel—sobrang mabait 'yun. Wala sa kanya 'yun. No big deal," he said.
As Prince Zardoz, he wore a costume with horns on his head.
"Mahirap, mahirap 'yung costume kasi una, layer, layer siya—mainit. Mainit talaga siya kahit isang fight scene lang 'yung kukunan, 'yung pawis ko talagang tagaktak. Ang daming suot sa 'yo na bakal-bakal tapos 'yung horns kinakabit," he said. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
