Rufa Mae Quinto on 'Comedy Island': 'We represent the Philippines'
Rufa Mae Quinto is so proud to be part of "Comedy Island Philippines."
On "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Friday, the comedienne shared how her America-based family and friends are all so proud of her.
"International!" Rufa Mae began triumphantly. "Tuwang-tuwa yung pamilya ng asawa ko sa Amerika at mga friends. We represent the Philippines! Alam mo yun, hindi lang to 'this is for me.' It's for the fans, family, friends. Hep hep hooray!"

According to Rufa Mae, They started work on "Comedy Island" a little before the streaming site launched in Southeast Asia. "Kaya parang wow! Napili ako mag-represent sa Philippines. Kasi masusing pinagisipan," she said.
[Wow. I was among those chosen to represent the Philippines. They really thought about this project seriously.]
Along with co-stars like Drew Arellano, Jerold Napoles, Cai Cortes, among others, Rufa flew to Phuket, Thailand to work on the series for one month.
"Ginawa namin to sa Phuket, so mga katrabaho namin mga foreigner. Hollywood ang dating," Rufa Mae said.

Comedy Island, an improv sketch series on Prime Video, also has versions in Indonesia and Thailand "at marami pang ibang country."
