'Voltes V: Legacy' CGI team shares process of bringing ‘Godor’ to life

Several hours before the final episode of "Voltes V: Legacy" aired, Riot Inc. Post Production, looked back on the rigorous process it took to bring the character Godor to life.

OnFacebook, Riot Inc. shared that they have been "an ardent" follower of “Voltes V” back in the '70s.

When the series “disappeared from the airwaves,” they were left curious about the final chapters.

When the project “Voltes V: Legacy” arose, they had the chance to revisit the series finale and meet Godor or the God of War.

But “the impact was significantly diluted.”

This forced Riot “to reforge this God of War into a character that could resonate with both the series' loyal fans and the current generation.”

According to Riot, Godor “demanded a design that was nothing short of extraordinary.”

Finalizing the character's visuals took several months, which included a meticulous process of choreographing each of the character’s moves, perfecting Godor’s textures, rendering the output, and finally “weaving together the various elements into a cohesive, compelling narrative.”

“After countless hours of diligent work and exhaustive revisions, we finally arrived at a product that we could confidently stand behind,” they wrote.

“Watching the final version, I can assert with absolute certainty that we have delivered a fitting tribute to Godor, the God of War. We have crafted a final battle worthy not only of his name, but also of the fans who have followed the journey of Voltes V across generations,” Riot Inc. added.

Catch the epic finale of “Voltes V: Legacy” on GMA Telebabad at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras" and on GTV at 9:40 p.m.
