Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay are the newest ambassadors of Anak TV
Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay were among the newly launched ambassadors of Anak TV.
The pair was officially named at an event at The Peninsula Manila in Makati City on Friday.
Anak TV is an organization that promotes media and television literacy, and backs the agenda for child-sensitive, family-friendly television in the Philippines. GMA Network, ABS-CBN, TV5, and more of the country’s major television networks are among the members of Anak TV.
In an interview with GMA News Online following the event, the Sparkle stars humbly admitted that they are feeling the pressure of being role models for today’s youth.
“Bawat galaw po namin ay kailangan po talagang… hindi naman po sa sobrang perfect, kumbaga maayos po kasi magiging role model ng mga kabataan. And gagawin po namin 'yung makakaya namin para maging inspirasyon [hindi] lang sa kabataan kundi kahit sa mga matanda po sa ‘min,” Allen said.
Allen added that they are also very honored to be chosen as the newest ambassadors. They were chosen after the organization through a vote and also checked their social media accounts.
“Nakakatuwa po na nakita nila kung [sino] po kami,” he said. “Nakakatuwa po na ma-she-share po namin sa kabataan.”
Sofia meanwhile said that one wrong mistake could possibly turn viral or be misinterpreted, so they are very conscious of how they can influence the youth.
“Ayaw namin mag-fail na kami pa 'yung makakagawa ng wrong so very maingat na kami lalo,” she said.
“Pero like wala naman po kami talagang ginagawa na mali, pero of course there are things 'yung mga teens na the kids can’t do,” she added.
Other artists launched as ambassadors include Joshua Dionisio and Ayra Mariano from UNTV.
AlFia, or Team Jolly, are best known for their roles in “Prima Donnas,” “Luv is: Caught in His Arms,” and “In My Dreams.”
The loveteam recently traveled to Hong Kong. Sofia and Allen, who call each other Aki, attended the GMA Gala together, after Allen asked Sofia at Hong Kong Disneyland. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
