Dolly De Leon praises Khalil Ramos’ performance in 'Tick, Tick… Boom!'

Dolly De Leon has nothing but praises for Khalil Ramos in “Tick, Tick… Boom!”

The Golden Globe and BAFTA nominee and Cinemalaya Best Supporting Actress gushed over Khalil’s performance in an Instagram video from 9 Works Theatrical.

"Khalil just dove in and ate the character, I love that so much," Dolly said. “He was so truthful and so raw.”

The top actress added, “I felt him. I felt him the entire time.”

Dolly also said that it feels good to watch a musical again, adding that it’s been years since she last saw one.

“Clearly, there’s so much talent in the cast. It felt so good and liberating. It was kind of cathartic to be back here and witness all of that,” she said. “So it’s a really great show, congratulations.”

Dolly, Khalil, and Maris Racal have an upcoming project together.

“Tick, Tick… Boom!” is the Kapuso actor and singer’s theater debut, where he plays the lead role of Jon, a struggling, aspiring composer in New York City, who writes a musical in order to enter the theater industry. That musical ended up being "Rent."

Khalil has wowed audiences with his performance and said that being onstage “feels surreal.”

“Tick, Tick… Boom!” is extended until September 3 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Makati.
