David Licauco revealed that he is going solo for the upcoming GMA Gala.

According to Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras,” Tuesday, the "Pambansang Ginoo" is more than ready for the grand event.

He also shared that he got his suit all the way from Hong Kong!

“Medyo pinaghirapan ko yung this year’s gala. Binili ko sa Hong Kong yung damit ko, yung susuotin ko,” David said.

He then shared that he has no date for the ball, saying, “Wala, wala akong date,” while giggling.

The much-awaited thanksgiving gala is happening on July 22.

The theme for the event is "elegant formal,” and the proceeds from the event will be donated to the beneficiaries of the GMA Kapuso Foundation.

David is set to make his primetime comeback for the remake of the "Maging Sino Ka Man" series with Barbie Forteza.

It's the latest project lined up for the two, following their incredibly successful love team in the historical portal fantasy series "Maria Clara at Ibarra," which is now streaming on Netflix. — Carby Basina/BAP, GMA Integrated News
