Morissette and husband Dave Lamar look back on first concert together

Morissette and her husband Dave Lamar, also known as the musical duo From The Sea, have their hearts full following their first concert together.

Titled Feels Like Home, the show was held on July 7 at the Music Museum. It also served as the launch of their debut album “If We Never Happened.”

In an exclusive email interview with GMA News Online, the couple shared the show really did feel like home.

“Well, first of all, we had a couch and bean bags on stage, so that helped,” they said. “The concept of our show was to try and invite people into our living room to jam and listen to us share our stories, and we believe we were able to pull that off.”

The creative couple added, “Then second, because music is such a core part of our lives and who we are, and how we met, that’s what made it feel like home.”

The concert title was also chosen because of the songs on the album, which is all about finding someone, and knowing that this is the person you would want to build a life, or a home, with.

“Every relationship has its ups and downs, and own set of challenges, but no matter what happens, it’s that special person who you will always go running back home to,” Morissette and Dave added.

Following the successful Feels like Home concert, Morissette and Dave are feeling both “humbled and relieved.”

“Relieved because this is the first major show we co-produced with our partners in Underdog Music, so there were so many challenges and hurdles that came with that,” they said. “And humbled because of all the positive feedback that came after it was all said and done.”

The two also call the team at Underdog Music an artistic bunch who are inspiring to work with. The music label is founded by Miguel Jimenez, who also serves as the CEO.

On Instagram following the concert, Morisette thanked Underdog "for taking the plunge with us to a deeper yet substantial stage in our career and lives!"

Aside from From The Sea, Underdog Music also manages Lucas Miguel, Martti Franca, P-Pop girl group Daydream, and Kayla Rivera, among many other rising artists.

“We all just get each other. We all just want what’s best for the music!”
