Former 'That's Entertainment' member Ricky Rivero passes away at 51
Actor-director Ricky Rivero passed away on Sunday morning. He was 51.
The sad news was announced by his partner on his official Facebook page on Sunday.
“Wala na po [si] Ricky S. Rivero namayapa na po[.] [Maraming] salamat sa walang sawang tulong sa asawa ko,” Ricky’s partner wrote.
Last May, the actor-director was rushed to the hospital due to a stroke, but the reason for his death has yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Herbert Bautista took to social media to send his condolences and goodbye to Ricky.
“Malungkot na araw dahil sa pag-panaw ng isang kaibigan at kasamahan sa pelikula at telebisyon,” Herbert wrote on Facebook Sunday.
“Paalam, Ricky. Nakikiramay ang aming pamilya sa Salvador at Rivero Families,” he added.
Ricky was a mainstay host of “That’s Entertainment” from 1986 to 1996. He also starred in the films “Ninja Kids” and “Samurai Sword.”
