'Amazing Earth' celebrates 5th anniversary with 3-part special

GMA Network's award-winning infotainment program “Amazing Earth” celebrates its 5th anniversary with more exciting adventures and a new time slot beginning July 14.

Kapuso Primetime King and “Amazing Earth” host Dingdong Dantes treats the viewers with a three-part anniversary special featuring stunning stories about animals and nature.

Aside from discovering the wonders of the world for the past five years, Dingdong also expresses his enthusiasm for their newest time slot every Friday at 9:35 p.m. “Your weekend adventure will now start with Amazing Earth every Friday night. We will set your mood for the weekend dahil Amazing Earth talks about adventure, planet, animals, inspiring stories, and many more. So doon pa lang maiisip na nila kung ano ang pwede gawin pagdating ng weekend having been inspired by the stories,” the award-winning actor-TV host said.

Dingdong also revealed the enticing offerings that viewers can eagerly anticipate on the show, “Sa ating 5th anniversary, gusto nating may bago tayong maipapakita to our loyal and new viewers. We will feature new foreign series in “Wild Dynasties,” pero we will also present the local version of it. Every week marami rin tayong mga social media personality na makakasama. May local stories silang gagawin at uusbong on their own dahil sa kanya-kanyang discoveries. Now, we are able to compile these and dig deeper in terms of kung ano talaga ang nasa likod ng mga kwentong ito na naikikwento rin namin sa mga manonood.”

Meanwhile, despite his hectic schedule, Dingdong considers his projects as a blessing. “This is the busiest ever in my career but for me being busy is good. ‘Yung pinakamahalaga naman diyan is hindi ako nawawalan ng oras sa aking pamilya and nagagampanan ko ‘yung mga tungkulin ko properly. At syempre, nagagawa ko ang lahat ng iyon ng masaya kasi I really love what I do and I love my job here in the Network. It’s very fulfilling na maikwento ang mga bagay na ito especially through Amazing Earth and fulfilling din na gumanap sa ibang roles. Most importantly, it helps me grow as an artist and being part of Amazing Earth as a storyteller also helps me grow as a citizen,” he added.

Dingdong also imparts valuable lessons to his children regarding environmental stewardship and the importance of caring for the planet. “Syempre 'yung pinakamahalaga sa lahat is ‘yung leadership by example. Kailangan dito palang sa tahanan pinapakita ko na sa kanila kung ano ba ‘yung dapat at hindi. Dapat maging honest and open ka rin para kung magtanong ang mga bata, mai-e-explain mo nang maayos. I think isa sa strengths ng Amazing Earth ay ‘yung mga kwento ng hayop at kalikasan na usually ay very complicated, nagagawa nating very interesting dahil ginagawa nating localized ‘yung kwento. Hinahambing natin sa pinagdadaanan ng mga tao. So dahil doon, nahu-humanize natin ‘yung kwento at mas nagiging madali para maunawaan whether ng bata o matanda.”
